Berry Dessert Nachos

Who says nachos are only meant to be savory? This simple recipe is made with baked cinnamon-and-sugar tortilla chips topped with fresh berries, low fat whipped topping, almonds, and grated chocolate. This dessert appetizer is not only delicious, but is suitable for diabetic food plans.

Ingredients
- 3 (8 inches) plain or whole wheat flour tortillas
- 1 Tbsp. of butter, melted
- 2 tsp. of sugar
- 1/8 tsp. of ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup of fat-free or light dairy sour cream
- 3/4 cup of frozen light whipped dessert topping, thawed
- 1 tsp. of vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. of ground cinnamon
- 3 cups of fresh raspberries and/or blackberries
- 2 Tbsp. of sliced almonds, toasted
- 1 Tbsp. of grated semisweet chocolate
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 400 degree F.
- Stir together sour cream, dessert topping, vanilla, and 1/8 tsp. of cinnamon in small-sized bowl. Cover and chill while preparing tortillas.
- Lightly brush both sides of each tortilla with melted butter.
- Stir together sugar and 1/8 tsp. of cinnamon in small-sized bowl, sprinkle over tortillas.
- Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges, arrange on two ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for about 8-10 mins, until crisp. Cool completely.
- To serve, divide tortilla wedges among 6 dessert plates. Top with raspberries and/or blackberries and sour cream mixture. Sprinkle with almonds and grated chocolate. Enjoy.
